2:27 TB Stamkos (40), (Kucherov)
5:08 BUF Cozens (18), (Greenway)(SH)

Third Period

Steven Stamkos was the game’s third star.

Unfocused hockey with the Lightning playing outside the regular flow of their games with Kucherov stranded on 99 assists only to watch Connor McDavid beat him to the milestone later in the night. Sucks all around and now he’s left to try to get there in the finale against Toronto while they’ll be pressing to get Matthews to 70 against (I would assume) Tomkins. Oh goodie.

Mitchell Chaffee was -1 with 1 shot, 2 hits, and 1 blocked shot in 10:02.

Emil Lilleberg was -1 with 2 penalty minutes, 1 shot, and 1 hit in 15:03. -15 in 36 games doesn’t fill my heart with joy, and it’s been a slow drip of minuses lately for the rookie. It would no shock me if he were sat in favor of Fleury if Fleury’s healthy for the playoffs.
