Gage Goncalves and Alex Barre-Boulet were the game’s first and second stars, leading a potent power play that helped the Crunch claw their way back into the game to get another crucial point in the North Division title race. Defenseman Max Crozier (1-2-3) also feasted on the power play tonight, and he now has two goals and 11 points in his last 10 games.

Full credit to Syracuse for getting two points out of the weekend despite not having the services of leading goal scorer Cole Koepke. With Rochester defeating Belleville but Cleveland falling to Laval, the North Division race now has razor-thin margins. Syracuse still holds first place with 84 points, Rochester in second at 83 points, and Cleveland at 82 points. All three teams have three games left to play and Syracuse holds the regulation wins tiebreaker on both.

Syracuse has Belleville on Wednesday before a home and home against Utica next Friday and Saturday. The Crunch have struggled mightily with the Senators and two of the three games will be on the road. Every point so precious right now if you want to win the division title.
