Max Lagace allowed two goals on 36 shots for the OT loss. That’s four straight quality starts now for Lagace, who had a terrible first half of the campaign and is still sitting on a .888 save percentage for the season.

Daniel Walcott was the game’s second star. Ex-Bolt Prospect Mitchell Stephens continued to bedevil his ex-club with 1-1-2 on the night and was named third star. Lagace helped the team stay in the game despite a 36-27 shot deficit that was 28-18 after 40 minutes.
Both Utica and Rochester won, so Syracuse now sits two point behind the Comets in third in the division with a game in hand while Rochester is three back of Syracuse with the Americans still holding a game in hand.
