I have to say, maybe the most impressive part of the night for me was that the Crunch buckled down and had a clean sheet in the Third Period. Instead of freelancing in garbage time, they stayed on it defensively. That’s a sign of growing maturity, in my books.
Darren Raddysh’s insanely good season continues. He moved back into the top spot in the league in scoring with 9-23-32 in 22 games, two points clear of Calgary’s Matthew Phillips who was recently recalled to the NHL. Alex Barre-Boulet sits one point back of Phillips. Prior to this season, Raddysh’s career high was 6-22-28 in 62 games for Hartford in the ’19-’20 season. 1.45 points a game is a crazy pace for any player, let alone a defenseman.
Syracuse vaults into third in the North Division with the win, two points back of Rochester and six points back of Toronto.
