Seattle is a team that works hard and has some depth, but you saw the difference in quality illustrated vividly tonight. The Lightning got out to the quick two goal lead and Seattle made a game of it pressing hard for the equalizer the first half of the Second Period before the Lightning used their skill to just pull away and never look back. The goals by Point and Stamkos in particular were just superstar caliber and a reminder of the difference between an elite club and mere mortals.
Tampa Bay has clinched a successful 10-game segment of the season with two more games to play. They have one insurance point banked an opportunities to get three or four more in the boat before moving on to segment four.
