Lightning can’t recover from unfocused start.

Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 24 shots for the loss. It’s the odd game where both teams scored the same number of goals when goalies were in net.

Vasilevskiy and Anthony Cirelli were the game’s second and third stars.

Detroit won tonight because of the goaltending performance that Ville Husso stopping 44 shots, but the Lightning played a sloppy and lazy first half of this game and didn’t put that pressure on Husso until they were behind the eight ball. The problem is that the Lightning don’t seem to fully respect Detroit, and Detroit’s not the toothless team they might’ve been 3-4 years ago.

Nick Perbix was -1 with 6 shots and 2 blocked shots in 17:15.
