Syracuse dominates Rochester in midweek showdown.

SYR-5
ROC-1

Max Lagace allowed one goal on 10 shots before leaving the game at the end of the First Period. Hugo Alnefelt stopped all 14 he faced the rest of the way for the victory.

First Period
12:33 ROC Murray (9), (Davies, Mersch)
17:12 SYR Dumont (3), (Smith, Ryfors)

Second Period
14:34 SYR Jones (2), (Usau, Smith)

Third Period
7:56 SYR Fortier (5), (Raddysh, Ryfors)
10:30 SYR Goncalves (3), (Raddysh, Carrick)
19:28 SYR Ryfors (11), (Barre-Boulet, Raddysh)(EN)

Darren Raddysh, Alnefelt, and Gabriel Fortier were the game’s three stars.

This is how it should be. If Syracuse defends reasonably well (only allowed 24 shots) and gets the goaltending, they have more than enough offensive talent on this team to win games and win them comfortably. Darren Raddysh, at this posting, sits in second in the AHL in scoring with Alex Barre-Boulet a couple of points back tied for third in the league in scoring. Quiet success story of the season Simon Ryfors has 11-11-22 in 21 games and is tied for seventh in the AHL in goals. You would think the 25 year old might get a shot at a recall at some point if an opportunity arises in Tampa.
