Mine eyes have seen the glory of Syracuse winning a low scoring game.
SYR-3
TOR-1
Max Lagace allowed one goal 27 shots for the victory. Full marks. The Crunch needed that.

Lagace and Felix Robert were the game’s first and third stars.
The Crunch, coming into this game, had been averaging just shy of 3.9 goals per game. A silly gaudy number. But, they’d been allowing 4.0 goals a game. It’s not perplexing what Syracuse needs to do to become elite in the league this season. They have all the scoring any team could want. They have to buckle down on defending and get better goaltending, and they got that tonight en route to squaring up to a .500 record.
Cole Koepke scored in his first game back with Syracuse. Phil Myers has been assigned to Syracuse but did not suit up tonight.
