Brandon Hagel, Steven Stamkos, and Mikhail Sergachev were the game’s three stars.

Sergachev’s surprise return to the lineup gave the club the emotional lift that carried them to an early 3-0 lead and he was generally steady in 17:03 of ice time. The shambolic Second Period the team put out points to the fact that Game Five on the road is going to be incredibly difficult for the Lightning, possibly the most difficult of the series thus far. They’ve got to play a near perfect game to avoid the gentleman’s sweep, but they’re alive to fight another day and that’s the important thing.

Steven Stamkos is telling you he wants to stay in Tampa Bay with his play in this series. Period.

Mitchell Chaffee had 1 shot and 5 hits in 11:42.

Max Crozier had 1 shot and 4 hits in 13:59. If he stays in for the game in Sunrise, I’m terrified of the matchup against his pair when they’ve got last change.

Emil Lilleberg had 4 hits and 1 blocked shot in 19:02.
