This feels a bit like a game where the team was looking ahead to a harder opponent tomorrow and they really shot themselves in the foot. The team pulled close a couple of times after their miserable start, but every time they got close enough to sniff Lehigh Valley’s aftershave it seems the Phantoms got a timely goal.
Syracuse still holds a two point lead atop the division and the tiebreaker with Cleveland, but now the Monsters have a game in hand. Syracuse has eight regular season games left to play, with high-powered Providence coming into Syracuse tomorrow.
