Jack Thompson and Cole Koepke were the game’s first and third stars. Thompson hits the 30 point plateau for the first time in his pro career. As of this posting, he’s tied for 9th among the league’s defensemen in scoring.
Jack Finley continues his strong play and now sits on 17 points through 28 games after managing just 21 points in 67 games as a rookie pro.
The Crunch win coupled with a Monsters loss puts Syracuse two points clear atop the division with Cleveland still holding a game in hand. Maybe Syracuse should play Rochester every game, because they improved to 5-0-1-1 this season against the Americans.
