Overtime
2:20 SYR Myers (1), (Carrick, Element)

Phil Myers, Declan Carlile, and Felix Robert were the game’s three stars.

It was a pretty dominating effort by Syracuse outshooting their rivals 40-23 in the contest, but Malcolm Subban gave Rochester a chance in this game. Interesting to see a different slate of heroes step up in Game One with the more sandpaper players like Element and Koepke having multi-point games while the Crunch defensive corps continues to cook like it has all season even with Raddysh being called up to the NHL.

Game Two 7 pm tomorrow night. It’s a best-of-five series, so Rochester’s going to be pretty eager to make a push in that game. If Syracuse can hold serve they’ll get up to three cracks at putting the Americans away before hopefully moving on to play either Toronto or Utica.
