Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed four goals on 40 shots for the victory. A couple of garbage time goals by Vancouver blemished up a very good performance.

Steven Stamkos, Alex Killorn, and Brandon Hagel were the game’s three stars.

The Lightning weathered a flat start tonight and got out of the First Period tied 1-1 thanks to a power play goal. They eventually built the three goal margin to put the game away from there with the drama of Vancouver getting as close as claiming the false hope goal. But, in the end, the Lightning clinched 12 points in this 10 game segment of the season, preserving the five insurance points they had in hand.

Nick Perbix had two helpers and was +2 with 1 shot and 1 hit in 12:58. He’s on 10 points through his first 34 NHL games with a +8 rating.
