NHL Game Night: 3-19-22 Rangers at Lightning

Read Time:54 Second

Soft goal does in Lightning at the death.

NYR-2
TB-1

Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 27 shots for the loss. That 81 mph change up on the GWG is one he’s got to stop. Got to.

First Period
16:41 TB Point (23), (Killorn, Hedman)(PP)

Second Period
9:25 NYR Trouba (10), (Hunt, Lafreniere)

Third Period
19:44 NYR Zibanejad (25), (Panarin, Fox)(PP)

Vasilevskiy was the game’s second star.

The Lightning came out really sharp in the First Period as if the Hagel trade had tripped a switch that we’re getting into winning time. They really could’ve, and in retrospect, should’ve built a bigger lead in that opening frame, but what’s more frustrating is that they had a flat as a pancake Second Period thereafter. The passing got sloppy and they let the Rangers off the canvas and they hung around and stole it at the end. Let’s see if they can get a more consistent effort for 60 minutes next time out as they continue to integrate Hagel in the lineup.
