Brayden Point, Alex Killorn, and Vasilevskiy were the game’s three stars.
None of these wins are overly sexy, but the Lightning haven’t been beaten in regulation in seven games including six wins, and the way they’re doing it is generally by playing a patient playoff-style game. Consider what should’ve been a very desperate Dallas team tonight fighting for their playoff lives. The Lightning cold bloodedly held them to 22 shots and never really allowed a glimmer of a real uprising by Dallas in the contest. Yes, the Stars hung around. But I can’t say they ever seemed all that threatening. There’s a lot of caveats on this given you’re going to see a different lineup composition for the Lightning once Kucherov, Stamkos, and Rutta all return for the postseason, but as of right now everything seems well tuned for playoff time.
Alex Barre-Boulet was -1 in 14:44.
Ross Colton had an empty netter and was +1 with 1 shot and 1 hit in 11:11. He was also 50% on 12 draws.
