Max Lagace stopped all 24 shots he faced for the SO victory. That’s Lagace’s first shutout of the campaign at a time Syracuse really needed it to keep momentum going.

Lagace and Gage Goncalves were the game’s first and second stars. Lagace defeated third star of the game and familiar face Louis Domingue.
The Crunch outshot the Pens 33-25 so they arguably deserved the breakthrough greasy goal off of Goncalves’ centering feed that ended up in the back of the net. However it happened, the win keeps Syracuse streaking and keeps the pressure on the other teams in the division to either cash their games in hand or get left in the jet fumes.
