Lightning close enough to top of the division to smell it.

Third Period
18:30 TB Guentzel (33), (Kucherov, Point)(PP)(EN)
Vasilevskiy and Nikita Kucherov were the game’s first and third stars.
Ivan Fedotov and the Flyers did not allow the Lightning to take this game in a cake walk in a grindy, defensive-minded affair, but they deserved the outcome they got. The victory pulls the Lightning within two points of Sunrise for the top spot in the division with a game in hand with Toronto likely to be even with the Lightning at night’s end with Tampa Bay holding the tiebreak by two regulation wins on the Leafs. The Lightning have a brutal road stretch that includes Dallas and Vegas coming up, though, so to get all the way to the top of the mountain they’re going to definitely have to earn it.
