Vasilevskiy and Gage Goncalves were the game’s first and second stars.
As the team’s win streak hits eight, I can’t help but think of the streak Coach Cooper and the guys put together in their record-breaking season in Norfolk. The Lightning have pulled a dozen points clear of the last team out in the East and are touch close to Toronto and Sunrise with a game in hand on the latter. Tight checking game today where the Caps maybe had a slight edge at evens but the Lightning’s special teams made the difference.
Gage Goncalves had the big insurance/GWG and was +1 with 1 shot and 2 hits in 15:16. “Gonzo” is four appearances from graduating from prospect status.
