Always bet on Jack.
LAV-2
SYR-3
Brandon Halverson allowed two goals on 18 shots for the victory. He would’ve had a quality start but for the late Laval garbage goal. Annoying.

Jack Finley, Conor Sheary, and Logan Brown were the game’s three stars. In the last seven games Finley has 5-4-9 including a pair of three point nights. Fascinating player who has (and uses well) the wingspan of a condor around the opposing crease but goal line to goal line isn’t the plodder you might think he’d be at his size. He’ll snatch a goal on the rush against you if you let him, too. Logan Brown, for his part and not to be outdone in condor-like wingspan, has 2-4-6 in his last four games.
Tonight’s game was more snug than it needed to be as evidenced by the 43-18 shot advantage by Syracuse, but the key thing was the two points. The team seems to be embracing the urgency of the moment this weekend rather than shrinking from it. They grew their lead on Belleville for the final North Division playoff spot to six points, although the Sens now hold four games in hand. Every game’s a gotta-have-it game with 50 down and 22 left to go.
