Nikita Kucherov and Brandon Hagel were the game’s first and second stars.
What a god-awful performance getting outshot 33-18 by the Pens and outchanced by an even larger proportion. Johansson helped the team stick around long enough to help Kucherov opportunistically crack the safe and heist the points, but let us never speak of this game again.
Mitchell Chaffee had six hits in 10:45.
Emil Lilleberg had a helper and was +1 with 4 hits and 1 blocked shot in 19:04.
Gage Goncalves was -1 with 2 hits in 6:30.
