Tampa Bay proved its quality at even strength matching Sunrise shift for shift, perhaps even claiming the majority of even strength quality chances. But they torpedoed the whole endeavor with horrible turnovers by Kucherov and Cirelli that both ended up in the back of the net for shorthanded goals against on the same power play. Kucherov, in particular, I doubt has another game that bad the rest of the campaign. There are no moral victories, but to play a game that evenly with Kucherov playing poorly and Moser out speaks to the potential of this year’s roster.
