Nikita Kucherov, Jake Guentzel, and Brayden Point were the game’s three stars.

Guentzel’s hat trick was actually overshadowed by Kucherov once again tying the franchise’s single game point mark, AKA the Doug Crossman trivia question. It’s always amusing to think what a life and death defensive struggle the Tampa Bay/Calgary series was in 2004 and that since then when these clubs meet up the goals seem to flow like wine.

The Lightning’s MASH list grew with Moser joining the ranks of the walking wounded. The fact the Lightning are surviving, and in some ways thriving, in this moment is a remarkable statement on the long term potential of this iteration of the team.

Conor Geekie had a goal and was +1 with 6 shots, 2 hits, and 2 blocked shots in 12:53.

Mitchell Chaffee was -1 with 1 hit in 15:38.

Emil Lilleberg had 3 hits and 2 blocked shots in 22:25. As one of the last d-men standing, he’s having to play a ton of minutes.

Gage Goncalves was -1 with 1 hit in 14:06.
