Shots were 20-15 in the game. Generally I’d like Syracuse’s chances in a defensive struggle because that’s the way their system is built. But Rochester was efficient with their power play chances and scumbagged the late goal in the Second Period to get the game into garbage time. I don’t know how far the Crunch’s veteran gunners are from seeing the ice, but that’s probably the element they’re really missing this year. The ability to get a goal when things are tight or against the run of play would really help this team snap out of early season mediocrity.
