Halverson was the game’s third star.
This game turned on two things. First, Syracuse goes 0-for-4 on the power play continuing the frustration they experienced with the man advantage in the Rochester series. In my mind, they’re missing Finley’s net front presence from a pretty strong regular season power play. Compounding matters, Max Crozier with an absolutely shambolic defensive play while on that man advantage led to a shorthanded goal that cost the Crunch an opportunity to steal one of these first two games in Cleveland and take home ice advantage from the Monsters.
