Brayden Point, Nikita Kucherov, and Anthony Duclair were the game’s three stars.
The Lightning looked absolutely dead in the water for almost 33 minutes of this game. The Rangers looked more organized, crisper, and faster than the Lightning en route to a 2-0 lead. One turnover by the Rangers at their blueline ends up in the back of their net and the whole momentum of the game changed. Even when the Lightning fell down 3-2 they didn’t sag and maintained that momentum and eventually overwhelmed the division-leading Rangers. Impressive.
