First game after the deadline goes alright.
PHI-0
TB-7
Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped all 25 shots he faced for the shutout victory. Of all the stats tonight, the clean sheet was the biggest in my books.
First Period
1:49 TB Hedman (11), (Kucherov, Raddysh)
5:55 TB Paul (18), (Duclair, Raddysh)(PP)
9:10 TB Sheary (3), (Raddysh)
10:49 TB Point (33), (Stamkos, Hedman)(PP)
Second Period
15:42 TB Duclair (17), (Stamkos)
Third Period
7:33 TB Hedman (12), (Point, Raddysh)
8:16 TB Hagel (23), (Raddysh, Eyssimont)(PP)
Darren Raddysh, Victor Hedman, and Anthony Duclair were the game’s three stars. Raddysh tied Pavel Kubina’s record for the second highest scoring game in Lightning history at five points and threatened Doug Crossman’s six point game record set in the inaugural season.
Second biggest item of the game was probably the way Duclair put some more punch into the second line. Tampa Bay has been a one line team for a while now, and if they can get more goal danger from elsewhere in the lineup at evens it’ll go a long way to getting them to the postseason.
Third biggest item was unfortunately another injury to Erik Cernak, but Matt Dumba picked up 20 minutes of ice time in his Lightning debut and the club was therefore able to keep Hedman’s time down to a more manageable 22 minutes.
