Tampa Bay deploys the secret weapons.

NJ-3
TB-4 (OT)

Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed three goals on 30 shots for the OT win. This despite some weapons grade bad puck luck on the Devils’ goals tonight.

First Period
7:42 NJ Mercer (13), (Haula, Miller)
12:35 TB Glendening (6), (Perbix, Watson)
18:22 TB Glendening (7), (unassisted)

Second Period
10:34 TB Point (20), (Kucherov, Perbix)
16:54 NJ Bratt (15), (Marino, Toffoli)

Third Period
3:53 NJ Bastian (2), (unassisted)

Overtime
1:52 TB Raddysh (3), (Kucherov, Vasilevskiy)

Darren Raddysh and Luke Glendening were the game’s first and second stars.

You better damned well win a game where you get two goals from Luke Glendening. All in all, getting just 20 shots against that goaltender and that depleted New Jersey defensive corps was hockey malpractice, but they still got the two points so I suppose I can’t complain too much.

Emil Lilleberg had 3 hits in 14:56. Played well, but he was stapled to the bench the last 10-15 minutes of the game as a rookie in a tight contest.

Gage Goncalves had 4 penalty minutes and 1 hit in 9:00 in his NHL debut. Didn’t get the full major for his fight sticking up for Cernak, but to be clear he showed he plays bigger than he’s listed and he was dangerous in and around the opposing cage. In my opinion, he showed well enough to get another game.
