Now is the time for some concern.

TB-3
PIT-7

Brian Elliott allowed seven goals on 36 shots for the loss. The odds of Hugo Alnefelt being the backup next season went up tonight.

First Period
3:20 PIT O’Conner (4), (Pettersson, Petry)
16:06 TB Cirelli (9), (Bogosian)
18:05 TB Kucherov (23), (Point, Cole)

Second Period
6:17 PIT Malkin (23), (Archibald, Dumoulin)
15:28 PIT Crosby (26), (Guentzel, Letang)(PP)
16:20 PIT Blueger (2), (Pettersson, Petry)
17:50 PIT Carter (9), (Letang)
18:37 PIT Zucker (16), (Malkin, Heinen)
19:55 PIT Dumoulin (1), (Crosby)

Third Period
7:57 TB Point (36), (Kucherov, Sergachev)(PP)

Another embarrassing performance with the only difference being tonight the goaltending was as putrid as the team in front of the nets. Other teams have managed to raise their intensity and focus level and this Lightning team isn’t finding the needed sharpness to match. It’ll be March in the blink of an eye, the trade deadline in on Friday, and this thing is going pear shaped. Moves need to be made.
