Brayden Point was the game’s second star.

This team has had a bad habit this season of coming out in redemption games after bad losses and having a great First Period before declaring mission accomplished prematurely. Five shots on goal on San Jose in the Second Period with as much PP time as the team had and as loose as San Jose was playing defensively is just unacceptable. The killer instinct was missing in the middle frame and it ultimately came back and bit them.

Through 40 games the team has six insurance points banked as far as playoff pace goes. Doesn’t wash the bad taste of these past two games out of my mouth.

Nick Perbix had two shots in 13:20. With his next appearance he’ll graduate from prospect status on the site.
