Syracuse entered the Third Period tied at 2-2 but saw their chances of getting points evaporate in a 39 second span that started with a shorthanded goal against. The downward spiral went forward from there.
Fortunately Utica also lost to Providence today, so the Crunch didn’t lose ground to the Comets in their quest to get to second place in the division.
