Simon Ryfors, Shawn Element, and Felix Robert were the game’s three stars.

With the game hanging in the balance, Syracuse’s two top goalscorers rode to the rescue. Robert and Ryfors, as of this posting, are tied for eight in the league in goals. Darren Raddysh remains atop of the scoring race, two clear of several others including teammate Alex Barre-Boulet.

Defenseman Phil Myers had his first point in four games since being sent down to Syracuse. He also led the club with seven shots on goal tonight as the team more than doubled-up Springfield to the tune of 40-19. Syracuse’s right hand D situation now might be classified as unfair with league leader Raddysh and veteran Myers to go along with nicely touted rookie Jack Thompson.

For the moment, Syracuse vaults back into third in the North Division, two points back of Rochester and four points back of Toronto.
