Lightning even strength offense fizzles in tightly contested matchup.

TB-1
BOS-3

Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 25 shots for the loss. He needed some goal support tonight, but they used it all up in Buffalo evidently.

First Period
1:07 BOS Hall (7), (Carlo, Frederic)

Second Period
18:20 TB Stamkos (13), (Kucherov, Point)(PP)

Third Period
2:49 BOS Hall (8), (Zacha, Foligno)
19:19 BOS Marchand (7), (Krejci)(EN)

You saw tonight a marked difference in focus and intensity from the Buffalo game. Unfortunately, it didn’t come with very much even strength offense, which ultimately doomed Tampa Bay’s upset bid on the backside of the back-to-back. I’m actually less unhappy with tonight’s loss than last night’s win, but it once again underlined that the team really needs Cirelli back and in form.

Cole Koepke had 1 shot and 1 hit in 8:34.

Nick Perbix had 2 penalty minutes, 1 shot, 3 hits, and 4 blocked shots in 17:52. Starting to settle back in nicely.
