Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed seven goals on 31 shots for the loss. A lot is going to be made about a handful of soft goals, but the fact remains the Lightning only managed 17 shots on goal in front of Andrei. This was a team loss, pure and simple.

I’m not going to belabor this. This was two games where I think the Lightning went in expecting good things to happen instead of being ready to make good things happen. Now there’s no more mulligans. They’ve got to make a stand starting in Game Three in Tampa, and if they don’t they’re tainting their legacy, because tonight was an embarrassment that a great time like this shouldn’t have allowed to happen. Period.
