Vasilevskiy was the game’s third star.

Tonight was a very small step toward getting back into the system and playing the right way before the playoffs. It feels like things have gotten so bad it’s going to take several games to get back some equilibrium, so I’m not even going to be stressed about the result as much. Possession still isn’t where it needs to be, but at least the Bellemare line got back on the scoresheet, which was one element to success earlier in the season. It’s still not good enough, but it’s better (albeit that’s a low enough bar you could roller skate over it).
