Alex Barre-Boulet and Cole Koepke were the game’s first and second stars. Koepke now just a hair’s breadth from the 20 goal plateau in his rookie campaign.
In a game with 13 goals the only special teams marker was a shorty. Make it make sense.
Sean Day still tied for sixth in the AHL for scoring among defensemen. Cole Koepke is tied for 12th in scoring among all rookies and is eighth in rookie goal scoring. Gage Goncalves laying in the weeds tied for 15th in rookie goal scoring.
Syracuse moves back into a tie for second in the division on points at 70. Fifth on points percentage, though with Belleville holding four games in hand, Toronto holding three, and Laval holding six. Syracuse needs all the points they can to stay ahead of the wave.
