NHL Game Night: 1-29-22 Golden Knights at Lightning

Kucherov-less Lightning hit the comeback trail to stack another point against Vegas.

LV-3
TB-2 (SO)

Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 27 shots before succumbing to four of seven shooters in the penalty shot session for the SO loss. He may beat himself up a little for that Shootout performance, but the truth is Tampa doesn’t have a prayer in this game without his heroics.

Shootout
LV- Roy, Theodore, Karlsson, Stone
TB- Point, Stamkos, Colton

The Lightning kind of sleep walked through 40 minutes of hockey before outshooting Vegas 17-1 in the Third Period to pull it out of the fire. They probably deserved an OT winner, but Lehner was ridiculously lucky, IMO. Either way, the team keeps stacking points as we churn through the grind of the middle part of the campaign.

Boris Katchouk was -1 with 4 hits in 7:22.

Taylor Raddysh was -1 with 1 shot, 1 hit, and 1 blocked shot in 7:34. He graduated from prospect status on the site with tonight’s performance.

Cal Foote was -2 with 2 hits in 12:03.
