The Lightning probably should’ve done more with a three goal early lead and also a 4-on-3 OT power play. But, I can’t get too bent out of shape knowing that with Stamkos off on paternity leave the team was down its three best forwards. At a certain point, you need your big guns.
Alex Barre-Boulet was -1 with 2 shots in 9:48.
Boris Katchouk was +1 with 1 shot in 11:57.
Taylor Raddysh had a pair of helpers and was +2 with 2 shots and 2 hits in 12:15.
Cal Foote had 2 shots in 8:14.
Ross Colton had a helper and was +1 with 3 shots and 3 hits in 16:09. He was also 38% on 16 draws. His fo% has dipped in the last three games. Time to meet Professor Halpern in the lab.
Gabriel Fortier was -1 with 1 shot, 3 hits, and 1 blocked shot in 9:37. I liked his skating. He didn’t look out of place with the speed of the game tonight.
