Lightning choke the life out of upstart Seattle.

SEA-0
TB-3

Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped all 17 shots he faced in light work for his second consecutive SO win and his 200th career win. 27 years old and he’s already sitting on 200 wins at a point in time where he’s just starting to enter his prime.

First Period
2:52 TB Bellemare (1), (Perry, Hedman)

Second Period
0:31 TB Colton (2), (Rutta, Katchouk)

Third Period
11:32 TB Stamkos (11), (Palat)

Vasilevskiy, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, and Ross Colton were the game’s three stars.

Well Seattle, now you know just how tall the mountain is. Even without three key players the Lightning just outclassed Seattle for 60 minutes. It was no contest and they’d have been better advised staying on the plane tonight.

Alex Barre-Boulet was +1 with 2 shots, 1 hit, and 2 blocked shots in 13:38.

Boris Katchouk had a helper and was +1 with 4 hits in 11:43. Tonight we learned Boris Katchouk is damned near indestructible as he got his head wrapped around the goalpost by Jamie Oleksiak tonight and hardly missed a shift and played really well when he came back. Unbelievable physical toughness and resiliency.

Taylor Raddysh was +1 with 2 shots and 2 hits in 13:15. His line with Katchouk and Colton is clicking and his long term pairing with Katchouk was even playing well on the penalty kill.

Cal Foote had 1 shot, 2 hits, and 1 blocked shot in 14:26. It’s likely a function of the opponents they’ve faced, but his ice time has gone up noticeably the past couple of games, which were coincidentally both shutouts.

Ross Colton had a goal and was +1 with 2 shots, 3 hits, and 1 blocked shot in 13:26. He was also 25% on 12 draws.
