Alex Killorn, Steven Stamkos, and Vasilevskiy were the game’s three stars.

The Lightning have struggled mightily to generate offense early in games so far this season and have often had to chase the game. So, tonight’s three goal opening period explosion was a welcome relief for this team. And to cap it off with the human victory cigar of an Andrej Sustr goal? That much the better.

The Lightning have now played themselves into a position where they need three of four points in the next two games to have a successful first ten game segment of the season. The next contest against Washington will be a big one after this amusing interlude against the woefully undertalented Coyotes.

Alex Barre-Boulet had a goal with 4 shots in 11:41.

Taylor Raddysh had 1 shot and 1 hit in 14:04.

Ross Colton had 2 shots and 1 hit in 15:47. He was also 33% on 12 draws.
