The Lightning got away with only playing well for 20 minutes thanks to their goaltender. Otherwise, this was an atrocity where the team got outshot 38-19 and outchanced even worse. Why? In general, defensemen getting caught pinching or reaching and giving up way too many odd man chances. It’s been a terrible bug with the team lately and it didn’t go away tonight. Vasiy just papered over them.
Alex Barre-Boulet was -1 in 16:05. He got a scoring line look with a lot of ice time and didn’t exactly capitalize on it.
Ross Colton had a goal, 3 shots, and 1 blocked shot in 13:38.
