Vasilevskiy raises the deflector shields to tie the franchise record winning streak for a goaltender.

CHI-1
TB-4

Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed one goal on 31 shots for the win. Stopped multiple breakaways. The guy single-handedly took a game that should’ve been a high scoring knife fight and turned it into a laugher in favor of Tampa Bay.

First Period

Second Period
1:53 TB Cirelli (9), (Sergachev, Hedman)
14:15 TB Gourde (10), (Coleman, Hedman)
18:21 TB Stamkos (15), (Killorn, Hedman)(PP)

Third Period

Vasilevskiy, Victor Hedman, and Yanni Gourde were the game’s three stars.

Chicago felt the steely cold reality of Espo’s Rule after failing to score on a 5-on-3 in a Second Period they absolutely dominated. In a blink, they found themselves down 4-0 by the end of the frame and that was all she wrote. It remains one of those (almost) inviolable rules of hockey: if you get a 5-on-3 with any kind of time you better score on it because it (nearly) always costs you the game if you don’t.

Cal Foote was -1 with 2 shots, 2 hits, and 2 blocked shots in 14:17.

Ross Colton was -1 with 1 shot, 3 hits, and 1 blocked shot in 12:06. He was also 50% on 8 draws.
