Return of the Mack.
TB-4
NSH-1
Curtis McElhinney allowed 1 goal on 23 shots in his first game action in… forever. The Lightning did well throwing blanket defense on the Predators for most of the game, but some penalty trouble and score effects in the Third Period pushed McElhinney to have to make some key saves.

Anthony Cirelli and McElhinney were the game’s first and second stars.
The Lightning played a really strong defensive game in front of their backup who they know would rightfully have some rust. It was a really impressive performance before it got a little squirrely late in the game with some penalty trouble and a tightening game. Still, the Lightning have really frustrated Nashville so far this season and they’ll look to really demoralize them in the rematch tomorrow night.
Alexander Volkov had 1 blocked shot in 8:58. He was… not good tonight. Decision making poor. Board battles just not what they needed to be. And completely choked on a chance at a wide open net. He’ll want to burn this game tape.
