Very rarely a game is over in less than five minutes, and that’s what happened tonight. Detroit’s defensive coverage was shambolic to start the game as the Lightning just carved them up and put them away with very little resistance. Again, the NHL Central Division Presented by COVID just isn’t good and Chicago and Detroit are really, really not good.

Cal Foote was +3 with 2 hits and 1 blocked shot in 12:54. If there’s a silver lining of playing a lot of games against some poor teams it’s that you should get some opportunities to groom a young player like Foote that ordinarily wouldn’t be available.
