Nick Perbix, Brandon Hagel, and Nikita Kucherov were the game’s three stars.
The Lightning had a much better possession night tonight with Hedman back in the lineup, but looked liked they’d allowed Buffalo to hang around and steal this one before the Third Period comeback culminated in Perbix’s first NHL goal. Much better effort than the last two games and some positive feelings as this stretch that includes a ton of home games continues.
Cole Koepke had 2 shots and 3 blocked shots in 10:24.
Nick Perbix had his first NHL goal and was +2 with 1 shot, 1 hit, and 1 blocked shot in 16:49. He’s risen into the top four of this defensive corps and we may be nearing the point where the organization tells him to find a permanent home in Tampa. Even with Bogosian set to return soon, I can’t see Perbix being the RHD odd man out the way he’s played.
