Vasiy reminds hockey fans that Fleury’s Vezina last year really was #1 bullshit.
TB-6
CHI-3
Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed three goals on 27 shots for the win. The stat line doesn’t sparkle, but the stat line doesn’t at all tell the tale from this game. Vasiy stood on his head while MA Fleury wilted at the other end of the rink.

Victor Hedman, Vasilevskiy, and Cal Foote were the game’s three stars.
It was not a Rembrandt for the Lightning tonight. They were occasionally flat. Occasionally sloppy. But, Vasilevskiy spackled over the deficiencies and bought Tampa Bay the time they needed to eventually turn this into a laugher. They capitalized on their game in hand and again leapt over Sunrise into first place in the division.
Cal Foote had 1 goal and 1 assist and was +3 with 1 shot in 8:07. His first multi-point game of his NHL career. He’s two appearances from graduation from prospect status on the site.
