Charles Hudon was the game’s second star for notching his 19th and 20th goals of the season.
For the moment, Sean Day has moved into the top 10 in the league among defensemen in scoring.
Goaltending. You can’t allow six goals on the first 21 shots of a game and hope to win. Max Lagace’s now got a .866 sv% on the season. Alnefelt’s on an only slightly better .885 sv% mark. I can’t get too mad at the rookie, but on balance it’s just not good enough across the board. Old time Lightning fans know: this sport is 300% more frustrating when you’ve got to work twice as hard as your opponent to score a goal because of goaltending. I don’t know if this is on the Lightning organization’s radar, but picking up a different veteran netminder for Syracuse for the stretch run would be on my wish list.
