Charles Hudon was the game’s first star. You have to like the battle from Miftakhov and the whole team after dropping into the 2-0 hole early. The good goaltenders will often put up the shields after getting knocked around in the opening frame and give their team a chance to come back, and that’s what young Miftakhov did, giving the veteran Crunch a chance to manufacture a couple of points.
