I hate it when this team gets a quick goal early in these home games sometimes because it seems to lead to them taking their foot off the gas. Happened tonight as the Red Wings controlled wide swaths of the middle of the game and successfully hung around at the end to steal points. I hate the face the Lightning had a Third Period lead on a non-playoff team and couldn’t close it out even more.
The Lightning announced Luke Glendening is out indefinitely with an UBI and speculation is Conor Geekie may be en route to Tampa as a consequence. We shall see. Either way, Toronto has a two point lead on Tampa Bay with a game in hand and the Lightning having just three regular season games left to go. At least they pushed their lead on Sunrise to two points with a two game lead in the regulation win tiebreaker.
