Utica has been a boogeyman for the Crunch all season despite their basement dwelling position in the North Division. But the stakes of tonight’s game were too high for the Crunch to let the boogeyman get them. Their victory pulls them two points clear of Belleville for the last playoff spot in the division with the Sens now holding a game in hand. Glass half fuller, the win also pulled the Crunch within four points of Cleveland with both teams having 16 games left to play. Close enough to smell their aftershave. Running down Cleveland is looking like another viable pathway for Syracuse to sneak into the postseason. Down the stretch we go!
