Hockey gods take their revenge on Tampa Bay.

BOS-4
TB-0

Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed three goals on 24 shots for the loss include a center ice howler that turned a tight game into a laugher. It was that kind of a game for the whole team.

The Lightning got two points out of the last game against Buffalo that, frankly, they didn’t deserve with the way they played. This afternoon they were much tighter defensively even with Victor Hedman out of the lineup and even drew iron four times in the contest but still somehow got boat raced by a Boston team that was a seller at yesterday’s deadline. The hockey gods tend to punish those who cheat the game, even if it’s delayed by a game or two. Flush it, move on. Get Hedman back healthy. Maybe get a proper practice in with Gourde and Bjorkstrand somewhere in this insanely stacked up schedule.

Gage Goncalves was -2 with 1 hit in 11:17. He graduated from prospect status with today’s appearance. Congratulations.
